HCS is looking for a talented, conscientious, and friendly part-time cook for a small private school in Rindge, NH. Our kitchen serves roughly 25 - 45 people per meal and cooks are responsible to prepare meals, wash dishes, and leave a clean kitchen behind themselves.
What you'll do: • Prepare a range of healthy foods that appeal to young boys • Adhere to menu and recipes • Present meals for family-style dining to a tight-knit group of staff and students • Assist other team members • Handle food while maintaining safety standards • Be flexible in accommodating food allergies and dietary restrictions • Cooperate with school nurse as needed • Prepare meals for school outings • Complete appropriate trainings and certifications • Adhere to all COVID safety regulations on campus
What you need: • Professional cooking experience • A friendly demeanor • Strong work ethic • Capacity to stand for long periods of time • Patience and flexibility
About HCS: a family-style dorm of a small, rural boarding school. We serve students of unique abilities and capabilities who have not always succeeded in other environments and require extra care, patience, and flexibility.
Experience with children, preferably in a residential setting such as a summer camp or boarding school is preferred.
