- Pharmacy Services - Staffing (every 3rd weekend)
· Block Rotations (4–5 week duration): o Critical Care (ICU) – 1 required o Medical ICU o Surgical ICU/ Neurosurgical ICU o Trauma ICU/ Burn ICU o Administration o Internal Medicine o Orientation o Research Elective Block Rotations · Ambulatory Care General – AC, DM, FM, OPAT · Ambulatory Care CORE – HIV · Cardiology/CCU · Cermak Correctional Health Services · Emergency Medicine/Toxicology · Hematology/Oncology · Infectious Disease & HIV (inpatient) o Pediatrics · Transitions of Care Additional electives may be made available based on resident interest. Most rotations can be repeated as “Advanced.” Residents may take additional critical care rotations as electives beyond the one required | Research Project: Each resident will conduct a research project and present the results at the Great Lakes Pharmacy Resident Conference. The project must be approved by the director of the residency program and include submission of application to the institutional IRB. Upon completion of the residency, the resident will also submit a written copy of the project, suitable for publication, to the program director.

Licensure Requirements: Pharmacy residents are expected to be licensed within 90 days of start date, but preferably prior to the start date. If licensure is not obtained during this time, an assessment of whether the resident will be able to complete 2/3 of the year as an independent, licensed practitioner will be made, per ASHP requirements |
