Be an integral part of the opening team for a new Greek restaurant and bar concept coming to the bustling Fulton Market neighborhood in Fall 2021!
DineAmic Hospitality – the team behind well-known and esteemed restaurants such as Prime & Provisions and Siena Tavern – is seeking an Executive Chef who is able to combine their culinary artistry and creative approach to menu development with outstanding management skills that motivate and inspire their team, all while ensuring guest satisfaction and keeping an eye on the bottom line. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years supervisory experience, an authentic approach to relationship-building and developing team members, and a can-do attitude. This position requires someone with strong skill sets in budgeting, communication, planning and delegation.
Ensure the skillful execution of all menu items - honoring the classics alongside creative daily and seasonal dishes; Develop enticing and regionally influenced menu items
Establish and maintain a safe, clean, professional, and organized kitchen adhering to all state/local health department regulations; Take full ownership over the food and the environment in which the food is prepared
Oversee the entire kitchen team, including Line Cooks and Dish Team; Develop, coach, and retain a great staff by creating an environment that promotes both individual growth and team success
Ensure the restaurant meets a responsible food & labor budget that delivers on quality while being fiscally responsible
Oversee the ordering, preparation & storage of products; Take responsibility for the preparation, cooking and presentation of food in accordance with productivity standards, cost controls and forecast.
Monitor and evaluate team performance, product quality, and production flow; Make adjustments to meet quality standards and budgetary restraints
Communicate effectively with team members; Conduct pre-shifts, menu briefings and weekly department meetings
Schedule, conduct and document employee performance reviews according to standard operating procedures

5+ years' supervisory experience
1+ years’ experience in a fine dining establishment
Degree from a food service program, culinary school or equivalent preferred
Knowledge of menu development, marketing, cost and wage control
Proficient computer skills; Ability to use MS Word and Excel; Experience using POS systems
A passion for quality and respect for team members and guests
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance; Stand or Walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift; Complete tasks that require repetitive motion
