The primary role of the Banquet Chef is to oversee the banquet department and to ensure that all food is prepared correctly, in a timely fashion, and to the standards of our operation. This includes staffing, functions happening at different venues simultaneously, following and developing recipes, teaching and training team members, paying close attention to budgets both food and labor, and leading by example. This role will oversee a culinary team of 8 to 10 people. The annual food revenue is 1.2 million.

Assist in writing schedule for team members
Prepare prep lists for each event in accordance with the BEOs
Operate kitchen equipment safely
Supervise and lead banquet culinary staff
Hire, train, and evaluate staff in order to successfully complete all banquets
Maintain equipment in good working order and submit regular service repair requests
Coordinate food orders, direct supplies, smallwares, and other needed orders to ensure there is no disruption to our member experience
Perform other duties as assigned
Must have prior experience in Banquets Management
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must have leadership skills in order to provide coaching and counseling to team members
Must be proficient using a computer
Prior experience with menu development, action stations, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and buffets
Must be able to work scheduled based on operational needs, which will include nights, weekends, evenings, and holidays
