Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef for Liberty University located in Lynchburg, VA. Liberty University, located in Lynchburg, a city located near the geographic center of the state, is bordered by the eastern edge of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Liberty University is one of the largest Christian Universities in the world and the largest private non-profit university with 15,000 on campus students and 94,000 on-line students. Lynchburg's campus serves about 9,000 residential students, 6,000 commuter students and 2000+ faculty/staff. This Executive Chef will be responsible for day-to-day operation of it's culinary program to include either Retail Dining with 23 campus locations with a mixture of Sodexo and National brands, plus Concessions, or Residential Dining program with 22 platforms serving around 10,000 meals each day.
Sodexo manages resident dining, retail and catering.
The successful candidate will:
be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
