We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate culinarian who is ready to lead our culinary team at our award winning restaurant that is located in the heart of North Carolinas wine country. “The Harvest Grill” is our upscale award winning farm to table restaurant.
Job Description: The Executive Chefwill be a consummate professional that is motivated, hardworking, energetic, experienced and fully capable of leading a busy scratch kitchen operation. The Executive Chef is a leader and a teacher who leads by example consistently. The Executive Chefis responsible for food and labor costs, this includes purchasing and receiving of all food products to also include restaurant supplies. We are looking for a collaborator who is a true and effective team player, someone who can help build sales and represent our brand in a positive light. We have a new organic gardener on our team that is eagerly waiting to work with you and collaborate on what you would like planted for this fall in our chef’s garden. We are located in a rural community just north of Charlotte and Winston-Salem, NC. We are located just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounded by countless acres of our established Vineyard and winery. A Sous Chef from a highly respected operation that has been mentored by a great chef is highly desired. Three years experience leading ( sous Chef etc.) a team in a scratch kitchen in a hotel, resort, private country club or similar. ACF certified is a real plus. If not currently certified the desire to be certified with in the year.

We are the largest estate winery in North Carolina. Our founders were instrumental in getting the Yadkin Valley AVA established in NC. Our property is at 1000 acres. We have a farm to table award winning restaurant located at the winery.
The Harvest Grill at Shelton Vineyards has two indoor dining rooms and a new outdoor patio. We are open for lunch and dinner Wednesday through Saturday and we offer Sunday brunch.
