Duties and Responsibilities v INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPMENT · Evaluate Courses in the Culinary, Hospitality and Baking and Pastry Arts curriculum in relation to the requirements for degree completion. · Work with the Dean of Culinary and Hospitality to plan new and existing programs and courses. · Assist with the development and refinement of the Culinary, Baking and Pastry and Hospitality curriculum. v TEACHING PERFORMANCE § Teach courses as assigned and in accordance with the established syllabi. § Provide high quality instruction for students in the Culinary & Hospitality Division § Evaluate the accomplishments of students on a regular basis. v STUDENT ADVISEMENT § Advise and maintain records of assigned student advisees in accordance with division policies and procedures. § Provide effective academic advisement for students enrolled in the Culinary, Baking & Pastry or Hospitality program. v PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT § Represent the Division and College by participating in community and professional activities. § Participate in professional continuing education opportunities. § Maintain a current awareness of educational innovations and trends appropriate to Culinary & Hospitality education. v COLLEGE AND/OR COMMUNITY SERVICE § Assist Dean of Culinary & Hospitality in activities related to compliance with specific accreditation. § Actively participate in activities to select, recruit, admit, and retain students. § Maintain contacts with appropriate professional and community organizations/individuals in the College service area. § Serve actively on College committees. v INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT § Maintain proper control and effective use of all physical facilities and supplies in the assigned division. § Prepare reports in cooperation with Division Dean for input into the planning/reporting system. § Insure communication of policies, procedures, and campus information to all Division students. § Perform additional duties as assigned. |
