The Oaks Club, a private, member-owned Golf and Country Club located in beautiful Osprey, FL is seeking Seasonal LINE Cooks as we are approaching our soft opening for our new dining venue. In addition to the experience of working at one of the area's most prestigious clubs, this position offers competitive salary, a free meal per shift, and the use of our golf and tennis facilities. In your spare time, enjoy world renowned Siesta Key beach and downtown Sarasota (minutes from the club). Join us on this journey towards the grand opening in September of 2024. You will be able to exercise your creativity and work closely with our Executive Chef. Join us for a unique, positive, and friendly learning environment. This temporary position is from October 1-May 31, 2025. We offer housing (for out of state candidates) shared cost with employer as well as transportation to and from work. $750.00 Sign On Bonus (after 90 days). Job Summary:
If you have a love for cooking The Oaks Club is the place to learn. This position cooks and prepares a variety of food products, including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces and stocks according to the club’s standard recipes using a variety of equipment and utensils according to the daily prep list.
Job Tasks/Duties
- Take inventory of all items required for station set-up and determine those items that require preparation.
- Prepares items according to standard recipes.·
- Sets-up, maintains and breaks down prep cook station.
- Makes recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep of the line prep area and equipment.
- Closes the kitchen properly using the closing checklist.
- Attends kitchen staff meetings and offers suggestions for improvements.
- Assists with other duties as assigned by Sous Chef.
