Job Description: Dining Room Manager
Job Summary Seeking a dedicated and experienced Dining Room Manager to oversee operations in our upper casual dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and possess excellent customer service skills. This role is crucial in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences while managing the daily operations of the restaurant. The Dining Room Manager will be responsible for training staff, managing budgets, and maintaining high standards of culinary excellence.
Duties
Supervise daily operations of the dining room, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Train and develop staff on customer service best practices and menu knowledge.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining budgetary controls.
Utilize Toast POS system for order management and financial tracking.
Collaborate with culinary teams to ensure food quality meets our standards.
Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, providing solutions to enhance their experience.
Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations within the dining area.
Assist in planning and executing special events or promotions within the restaurant.
Experience
Proven experience in a managerial role within the food industry, preferably in upper casual dining settings.
Strong culinary knowledge with an understanding of wine and cocktails is a plus.
Demonstrated ability in budgeting and financial management related to restaurant operations.
Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for helping others.
Experience in training development to foster team growth and performance improvement.
Experience in special events and catering
