The Chef de Cuisine will plan and direct the food preparation for John’s Island Club kitchens, and is responsible for ensuring quality, service, and sanitation standards are met and an optimal dining service is delivered to members and guests.
This position will coordinate and manage the activities of kitchen staff, including scheduling, preparing daily work assignments, communicating policies, enforcing expectations, and providing special instructions where needed. You will assist in the selection, supervision, and mentoring of an international staff representing 25 countries.
The Chef de Cuisine will create menu items that feature fresh, seasonally appropriate ingredients and will work side-by-side with kitchen staff to produce memorable experiences for Club members. Bring your experience and creativity to our table!
Candidates must have experience at a multi-outlet property with a strong banquet business. John’s Island Club is a high-volume property (in season our daily cover count can exceed 3,000) with high expectations from the people we serve. We strive to exceed their expectations!
Qualified candidates will have advanced knowledge and skill in all aspects of top-quality food production and administration, as demonstrated by five years of experience in a premier resort or private club. At least two years of supervisory experience is required and a formal culinary degree is preferred.
