The Pelican Golf Club is currently accepting resumes for our Banquet Chef position. We are a 1.5 year old Private Golf Club and we have just opened our main clubhouse. We are in need of someone who is extremely detailed, highly organized, works clean, efficient and neat.This is a great opportunity for a chef to work in a brand new kitchen with all the tools to be successful. You will work close with the Executive Chef on establishing the Pelican as a platinum level club and destination for members and guest to host private events. The club will host its first of many LPGA golf tournaments in November 2020. This is a very exclusive club with membership by invitation only to 400 total members. We currently have a small clubhouse for the clubs pro shop and members Grill. The main clubhouse features a pastry shop, steakhouse restaurant, wine cellar with chefs table, private dining rooms and event / banquet space. The banquet chef will also be responsible for all the clubs production such and cold production, dressings, soups, stocks, family meals, etc. Experienced in high-end banquets and events required with the ability to set up for various functions and create / develop menus. Must have the ability to not only lead but develop staff. This role will require the chef to do on going R&D for current and future menus. Must be extremely organized with great communication skills. Weekly production sheets, purchasing, recipe development of seasonal menus are all functions of this position. There are currently no projections for banquet revenue currently as we are very new.
