Rush Crew App is seeking passionate and creative culinary students, aspiring chefs, and industry professionals to join our team as a Culinary Operations & Recipe Testing Intern. This behind-the-scenes opportunity is perfect for someone who loves food, enjoys experimenting with recipes, and wants hands-on experience working with a fast-growing culinary staffing platform.
Rush Crew App connects restaurants that need staff with chefs and hospitality professionals looking for work opportunities. Through the app, restaurants can quickly post open shifts and staffing needs, while chefs, line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, servers, and other hospitality workers can browse available jobs and accept shifts that fit their schedule. Rush Crew App helps restaurants solve staffing shortages while giving chefs flexible work opportunities and access to jobs in their local area.
As part of the Rush Crew App team, you will assist with testing recipes, evaluating cooking methods, documenting results, and supporting chefs within our network by answering culinary-related questions and providing operational support online. You’ll work closely with our culinary operations team to help improve recipe consistency, kitchen efficiency, and overall culinary content used throughout the platform.
Responsibilities:
- Test and evaluate recipes for accuracy, taste, and consistency
- Document recipe adjustments, cooking times, and plating notes
- Assist chefs by answering culinary and kitchen-related questions online
- Research ingredients, food trends, and preparation techniques
- Help organize recipe databases and culinary content
- Provide feedback on workflow, presentation, and menu ideas
- Collaborate with the operations and culinary teams on special projects for Rush Crew App
Qualifications:
- Passion for cooking and food innovation
- Chef currently working in the industry preferred
- Culinary school student, recent graduate, or equivalent kitchen experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with kitchen terminology and cooking techniques
- Comfortable working remotely and online
